Achievements and Accreditation Status

In April 1995, the EE Program, along with the other programs attained Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) second level (II) accreditation status through PAASCU.

For school year 1998-199, PAASCU Level II re-accreditation was attained. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) then awarded the Electrical Engineering program, along with the Industrial Engineering program, the Center of Development (COD) for Region III. For school year 2004-2005, PAASCU Level III Accreditation was granted. In 2003, CHED elevated °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ to autonomous status was renewed ever since.

In 2019, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ has been granted an ISO 9001:2015 certification for both academic programs and support service from basic education to higher education programs.

Integrated Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs) in Electrical Engineering

The 7 proficiencies instituted by the University serve as the bases in establishing the BS Electrical Engineering Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and Program Outcomes (POs). The Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs) are aligned to these set of objectives and provide direction in the deployment of the Electrical Engineering program. They are:

  • Communication – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to exhibit the ability to listen, write, understand, speak, and express his/her concepts, ideas, in person and other media, coherently and successfully, to everyone. He / She should be able to master his/her communication skills as this will make him/her ideally suited for future career and leadership positions.
  • Valuing and Ethical Reasoning – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to determine the diverse value systems, demonstrate a strong moral compass, exhibit resiliency, and uphold and defend ethical judgments.
  • Critical and Creative Thinking – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to demonstrate and master critical and creative skills by integrating ideas concepts and synthesizing them. He / She must also create multiple possible solutions to a prompt, rather than a single exact solution to an architectural design or engineering problem.
  • Civic and Global Learning – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to determine the different civic issues and partake in various community services that would promote the furtherance of the quality of life for those in need.
  • Applied and Collaborative Learning – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to understand and relate Architecture to the different multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural fields of the practice. He / She must be able to work with a team, understand the perspectives of other people, arbitrate differences, and help reach conclusions as a group.
  • Aesthetic Engagement – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to exhibit and master the aptitude on how to integrate various forms of arts in Architecture that would encourage creation of design with aesthetic elegance. He / She must further show how art forms can be translated and communicated in the design of built environments considering the various aspects and context in architectural design.
  • ICT Literacy – An Electrical Engineering student must be able to demonstrate the ability to use tools of information and communication technology that will help him/her communicate his/her architectural design ideas effectively and ethically.

Electrical Engineering Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Within a few years after graduation, graduates of our BS Electrical Engineering programs are expected to have:
