The degree program described herein shall be called bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (BSEd-Science)
Nature of the Field of Study
The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in Science is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant learning competencies to teach Science in the secondary level.
Degree / Program Goals
The BSEd major in Science program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for Science teaching.

Course Description
Program Learning Outcomes (2024-2025)
After finishing the program, the students will be able to:
- Apply scientific inquiry in teaching and learning in the design, construction and utilization of the different forms of assessment in science.
- Utilize meaningful and pedagogical content knowledge of the sciences to real- world situations.
- Generate undergraduate research employing ethical behavior, IT competency and decision-making.
- Engage in lifelong learning and understanding of the need to keep abreast of the developments in the field of secondary education.
- Display professional, social, ethical responsibility and appreciation in teaching science.
